About Nora Tunsli
I grew up in Norway with a fascination for how people respond to stories, why we desire certain things, trust certain voices, and remember certain images. That curiosity led me first into marketing, where I spent years exploring the mechanics of audience psychology and the emotional logic behind consumer behavior.
Over time, I worked across almost every touchpoint of the customer journey. I worked as an influencer manager, sales consultant, logistics coordinator, personal assistant, social media manager, marketing manager, and even mystery shopper. I wanted to understand the entire journey, especially in the luxury space, as it´s such an emotional purchase experience.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I began making commercial films for a sales company in Norway. For two years I created campaigns that performed well, yet I felt limited by the language of traditional marketing. I realized that to create the kind of luxurious, cinematic advertising I admired, I needed to turn to more emotional storytelling.
That realization brought me to Australia, where I chose to do a Masters degree in filmmaking and directing. I wanted to combine my background in audience psychology with a deeper understanding of visual narrative and dynamic on screen. My new goal was, and is, to create commercials that don’t feel like an ad, but more like scenes from a more intriguing world.
Today, I approach projects with a marketer’s understanding of brand and audience, and a director’s obsession with characters and dynamics. Particularly within the fashion, travel and luxury industry that first shaped my creative instincts.
